The workpackage defines a range of measures designed to promote co-operation between technical and social-technical researchers and research students, and to integrate networks of government practitioner expert and industry specialists. The aims have been to develop cross-disciplinary teams working on research and innovation projects funded outside this application, to develop opportunities and funding possibility for new joint projects, to stimulate wide discussion and dissemination of research results and to develop and stabilise expert networks built around the existing national centres of research excellence.
 
Objectives:

• To provide mechanisms for research exchange to integrate currently fragmented eparticipation research and innovation activities
• To promote sustainable structural integration of research and innovation resources.
• To develop the role of national research centres of excellence as focal points and
  catalysts for e-participation change
