WP 7 - Establishing information infrastructure for the NoE
The workpackage has provided the technical infrastructure design and implementation of DEMO-net's knowledge and collaboration platform on the DEMO-net web site. This has enabled the network’s virtual collaboration, provided a knowledge repository and (later) provided the infrastructure for dissemination through associated networks and for the European virtual research centre.
It has supported the management activities of the network and the work of the research exchange and student education activities. It has also provided the platform for clusters and thematic groups of researchers to advertise and disseminate their activities. The final objective has been to develop and promote efficient e-communication practices to create, enhance and capitalize the networks of knowledge, trust and commitment, both internal and external.
Information has been collected by web questionnaire and disseminated via a portal created on the web.
Objectives:
- to gather currently fragmented research and best practice in eParticipation, and researcher and practitioner information
- to provide an infrastructure for the management of the network
- to design and construct a suitable collaborative and knowledge platform
- to develop a business model for the sustainability of the information feeding from within
and outside the network partners
