As a member of DEMO-net, the login function is most important as it identifies each user to the system. To log on the DEMO-net website you need to have a login name and password. The log in facility is situated on the front page of the DEMO-net website. You can either use the log in box on the left hand side or the log in link above the calendar.

If you log in via the log in link, you can ask the system to remember your login name by checking the remember my name box. The system will automatically remember your login name next time you log in from the same computer. Login name and password are personal; do not share this information with others.

Should you forget your password, simply click the forgot your password? link in the login box. The information will then be sent to the email address registered in the system.

To log on the DEMO-net website you must have cookies enabled. If you access the site and try to log in with cookies disabled, you will get a message telling you that cookies must be enabled with a link to more information.

When logging in you will identify yourself to the system which will give you different opportunities depending on the rights you were given when registering. You will notice that a personal menu bar has popped up, and that the login portlet has disappeared. More tabs and menu bars will appear depending on where you navigate on the portal, and you will have access to folders and documents that were hidden when you were an external visitor.
