The objectives of the workshop are to get a common understanding of integration needs and measures in DEMO-net, reflect on what individual workpackages of DEMO-net contribute to the overall integration, and reflect on which integration needs and activities the practitioner partners of DEMO-net as well as practitioner networks do have.

The expected workshop results are to sketch key aspects of integration and to draft an integration strategy including integration of research disciplines and institutions; including research and practice in terms of transferring expertise and concepts from research to practice as well as learning from practice and communicating needs of research from practice to research; and reaching a wider impact of citizen participation in policy issues through larger projects. The discussions and results shall also detail the integration of PhD students in research and practice as well as joint projects (either focussing on research or on implementation) to reach out further than current pilots.
