Discussing European eParticipation

Online Discussion on the European eParticipation (02-13/03/2009)

An online discussion on eParticipation is organised jointly by PEP-NET and the European eParticipation Study and can be found at www.internet-discourse.eu.

The objective of this online discussion is to arrive at a high quality analysis of a number of European eParticipation issues, plus recommendations as to how each should be addressed. This discussion will be running for two weeks.

Currently the online discussion is going through Phase 2 where most discussion takes place in the issue sub-forums and is supported by moderators.

In order to delve into a detailed discourse and produce concrete recommendations, the discussion has been separated into the following fields and forums:

  • Technological Questions
  • Organisation and Channels
  • Evolution and Dangers
  • The European Sphere

A few days into the second phase, the moderator(s) in each sub-forum will identify and create the contents for one or more wikis which reflect the discussions taking place. The first draft of each wiki will be produced by combining the contributions of the participants, and these will then be posted on the website for further discussion and editing by all participants.

Please take the time and share your ideas and experience in: www.internet-discourse.eu.
