Agenda - WP1 workshop on integration strategy
This is the agenda for the WP1 workshop on integration strategy taking place 9th October 2006 in Brussels
The agenda is proposed as follows:
10:00 Intro + objectives of the workshop
10:10 Presentation of the challenges and barriers (Summary of the Prague Panel, the DG.O Workshop and the Edinburgh workshop - see documents attached)
10:30 Presentation of the contributions from individual workpackages, from the practitioner partners and from the networks (5 mins each: 7 WP leaders + 3 practioner partners + 3 networks)
Each WP leader is required to send 2 slides outlining the statement that should convey answers to the following questions:
- what input is being delivered from your wp towards the integration task?
- how do you think this can be integrated?
Each practitioner partner and network representative is required to send
2 slides outlining the statement which should convey answers to the following questions:
- how do you think research (and what kind of research) can be fed into practice
- which means of integration would you suggest?
11:45 Discussion of the challenges and barriers and inputs of WPs, practitioners and networks
12:30 Lunch break
13.30 Splitting up in 3 groups to discuss an integration strategy. Each group should come up with a common understanding of integration, what should / can be integrated, and how, including integration of PhD students, projects, and expansion policy. The discussion should focus on qualitative integration: measures, instruments, methods of collaboration.
The groups are:
* Group 1: integration of research among disciplines and institutions

* Group 2: dialogue with practice – from practice to research
participants: Ester, Flavia, John (Moderator), Maurice, Minna-Maija, Nanna
* Group 3: dialogue with practice – from research to practice
participants: Asta, Birgitte, Irina, Javier, Maria (Moderator)

15:30 Plenary
Each group is requested to report back the main discussion results: 10 min per group; the reporting is followed by a common discussion
