Sabrina Scherer studied Computer Science at Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany (1999-2004). From 2004 to 2007, she worked as Software Engineer and Architect on analysis and implementation of business processes and the implementation of projects in the private sector. Since June 2007 she is researcher at the UKL, Research Group eGovernment focussing on the projects DEMO-net, LEX-IS, and VoicE. In the project DEMO-net, she collaborates with colleagues on a knowledge repository for eParticipation. In LEX-IS (http://www.lex-is.eu), she is working on gathering the software requirements and the definitions of legal processes. Beyond that, she is working on the evaluation of the VoicE eParticipation processes and platform.

Her research topics cover the deployment of IT in the public administration, eParticipation, intelligent services, semantic web, Ontologies, knowledge management, software ergonomics, process modelling.
