Description:
Napier has used this approach to test assumptions regarding the appropriateness of using various e-participation approaches for specific purposes. Genre analysis is derived from the fields of rhetoric and communication, and classifies recurrent acts of communication based on their communicative purposes, structures, stylistic features, content and intended audiences (see Herring et al., 2004).
