Aims:
Promote the dialogue between citizens from European regions and policy makers from the European parliament, the Assembly of Regions, other EU institutions as well as regional assemblies
Description:
Give your VoicE!
Technical innovations all around Web 2.0 also create new opportunities for direct communication between citizens and political decision-makers (eParticipation). Within project VoicE, an ambitious new model for eParticipation on the European stage will be tested and implemented. Relying on the state-of-the-art platform Gov2DemOSS, our consortium will design sophisticated tools for citizens from the regions of Baden- Württemberg and Valencia to deliver input into the European legislative process.
VoicE is designed as a trial project featuring several new concepts:
- a regional focus designed to implement direct communication channels between citizens from a region and "their" elected representatives and vice versa
- a thematic focus on the issue of consumer protection, which is of direct high relevance for citizens, e.g. Telecommunication, Consumer Market Watch, Toy Safety/CE-sign, Energy, Nutrition
- a strong commitment to proper content development and intensive platform management
Our dedicated and highly-specialised project consortium encompasses a leading European public innovation agency (MFG), regional pro-European non-profit associations (EZBW/FCVRE), scientific expertise in analysing and understanding EU decision-making processes and eParticipation (Eurosoc / University of Koblenz-Landau), providers of award-winning technology for eParticipation (gov2u) and public authorities from the regions (GVA, StM) with expertise in the field of EU consumer protection policy (MLR).
