Full title: Electronic Court: judicial IT-based management

Aims:

The main objectives of the e-Court project are: ? contributing to trans-national harmonisation in the field of justice management among Member States; ? enabling justice institutions belonging to different countries to share information and co-operate; ? securing citizen rights to access public judicial information by providing an user-friendly and effective tool via a web portal; ? providing added-value information (multimedia and multilingual trial documents) to Institutions and experts (prosecutors, judges, and lawyers) having different roles within the justice process management and in different countries; ? allowing the whole justice community to retrieve information about public trials, verdicts and any kind of public-domain information about activities in law courts; the access to the judicial information will be disclosed according to status and rights.

<p>The e-Court project aims at contributing to the normalisation, standardisation, interoperability and the global convergence among justice Administrations of all European Member States. The solution consists in a creation of shared technological platform aimed at storing and exchanging standard - electronic - based information among the European Justice community.
