Full title: "Mehrsprachigkeit bei Internetangeboten zur Stadtentwicklung und Stadtplanung" - Multilinguality of online platforms for urban planningAims:
The MiSS project aimed to develop a transferable tool that can help to improve the information and participation of migrants in local politics. Additionally, it should foster the intercultural competence of the administration and enhance a lasting connection between integration-efforts and urban-planning departments. It should thereby also advance the cooperation between migrant organizations and the public administration.
Description:

Several Institutions of North Rhine-Westphalia and the four project cities cooperated in order to improve the potentials for migrants to particípate in urban planning. A shared feature of all four projects was a multilingual project-website, some with additional functions such as questionaires or maps. The topics of the projects varied, they addressed the rebuilding of a major road, the renovation of a whole neighbourhoor or the issue of a new land utilisation plan. Some of the projects focussed on the internet-tools, others escorted this channel with non virtual methods such as citizen-assembley or school visit.
