Semantic web
Description:Semantic technologies, e.g. ontologies and intelligent web services, are an integral part of actual research and already used in many application areas. Ontologies play a key role in the semantic web to facilitate knowledge sharing and reuse. A definition can be found in [1]: "The Semantic Web is not a separate Web but an extension of the current one, in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation."
